Rite Aid Video Values Coupons

Most stores offer their own store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons. Not only does Rite Aid release Wellness + coupons, they have a whole listing of coupons on their website called Video Values. Each month, Rite Aid has about 75 different coupons that you can print if you watch a small video--usually a 30 second commercial. Once you've earned 20 video credits each month from watching videos, they will also give you a $5/$20 coupon. It gets better! Rite Aid catalogs all of the coupons you have watched from previous months that haven't expired yet. No more wasting ink! I would say there are at least 4 deals per month that make an item free or a money maker with these coupons.
For example, this week Carefree Ultra Protection Liners are on sale for $1.99. There was also a $2.00 of any Carefree Ultra Video Values coupon in January. When I logged into my Video Values account, I was able to print my coupon because I had watched it when the video was available last month. So, free Carefree for me!
Some of you have asked me if you're allowed to use more than one Video Values coupon per transaction. It does state that in the fine print of the coupon, but a lot of Rite Aids will let you use more than one (within reason) since it is a store coupon. That's why us couponers say it's YMMV (your mileage may vary).
My rule of thumb is at the end of the month I try to make sure I've watched all the videos for that month. Even for the products I don't use. You never know when a product would be free with a Video Values coupon and it would get your total up to $20 to use that beloved $5/$20 coupon.
So if you haven't set up a Video Values account with Rite Aid, do it HERE. And don't worry, I'll remind you towards the end of the month to watch your videos!

Frugal Tip of the Day: Cleaning With Vinegar

When Kmart was still running their double coupon events, I was able to stock up A LOT on cleaning supplies. Since then, the deals on cleaning supplies seem to be few and far inbetween.

Today's Frugal Tip of the Day is--use vinegar! Thanks to the site 1001 Uses for Vinegar for creating such a frugal resource. I had no idea vinegar had some many different uses, it doesn't get any cheaper than vinegar! Here are my eye opening uses:

Deodorize the garbage disposal by pouring in 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup hot white distilled vinegar. Let sit for 5 minutes then run hot water down the disposal.

Clean the microwave by mixing 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar and 1/2 cup water in a microwave-safe bowl. Bring it to a rolling boil inside the microwave. Baked-on food will be loosened, and odors will disappear. Wipe clean.

Remove stains from coffee and teacups by scrubbing them gently with equal parts of salt (or baking soda) and white distilled vinegar. Rinse clean.

Wipe grease off exhaust fan grids, the inside of your oven, or anywhere grease gathers with a sponge soaked in white distilled vinegar

To remove a label, decal, or price tag, cover with a cloth soaked in white distilled vinegar. Leave the cloth on overnight and the label should slide off.

To clean a scummy showerhead, pour 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup white distilled vinegar into a sandwich bag and tie it around the showerhead. Let this set for an hour after the bubbling has stopped. Remove the bag and then turn on the water.

Clean wood paneling with a solution of 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar, and 2 cups warm water. Wipe on with a soft cloth.

VistaPrint $1.99 Mommy Cards

First of all, I LOVE Vistaprint. I have ordered rubber stamps, business card magnets, and post cards for my classroom in the past. This year we ordered our Christmas cards through Vistaprint and I was above and beyond impressed with the quality. I love how they include free black/white/grayscale printing on the back of most of their products. Most other companies would charge extra for printing on the back.

Anyway, they are running a promotion right now--$1.99 for 100 Mommy cards (or regular business cards). In case you don't know, a Mommy card is printed with your contact info and your child's info to hand out to other Mommies for playdates, homework help, etc. Here are some other ideas for these cards:
  • Teacher contact cards
  • Custom gift tags
  • Mini bookmarks
  • Name with birthverse cards
  • Endless possibilities!

You do have to pay shipping and handling on these, but as long as you aren't in a rush to get them it's usually reasonable. Click HERE to get your Mommy cards.

Free Cone at Bruster's

When you sign up for Bruster's Sweet Rewards club, they will send you a coupon via email for a free sugar or cake cone. Now I have no idea what a cake cone is, but I can only imagine that I have no business being around one! Click HERE to join their Sweet Rewards.
Oh yeah and you'll also get something free on your birthday. Yummo!

Printable Coupon Roundup

Thanks Printable Coupons for the awesome links!

Also, don't forget to check Coupons.com, Red Plum, & Smart Source. Some really great Betty Crocker, Green Giant, Yoplait, and Fiber One coupons have been reset and can be printed again. Happy printing!

AWESOME Gevalia Deal

Ok a HUGE thank you to Mama Cheaps for finding this amazing online deal! Gevalia is offering a FREE 12 cup coffeemaker and stainless steel scoop when you buy two boxes of premium coffee and no shipping! It winds up being $14.95 shipped--I personally am buying this to keep in the gift closet for a wedding present. Now it does require that you sign up for a trial of their automatic coffee shipments, but I've been told by many sources that it's not hassle at all to cancel your membership and you keep all the goodies. Click HERE to get more info.

Green Dragon - Closed Tomorrow

In case any of you locals were planning getting out your skis to score some deals tomorrow at the Green Dragon in Ephrata, it will be closed. Stay inside and drink some hot chocolate, more deals will await next Friday.

I, on the other hand, must get to Weis for the Gerber catalina so I guess I'll be getting out my snow boots.

Free Excedrin Coupon

Click HERE to complete a short survery and they will send you a coupon for free Excedrin. Can't get any better than free! Well, I guess sometimes it can... heh.

40% off Michael's Coupon

Ok so this coupon is only good through Saturday, but I like that they made a printable one in case you threw out the ad! Click HERE to print your 40% off coupon.

$.70 Cheez-Its at Giant

Snackpicks just released a $.75/1 Cheez It coupon for the new Italian 4 Cheese variety. They are currently an instant savings deal at Giant, though Giant only doubles one like coupon in an order. The deal looks like this:
6 Cheez Its $12.00
-$4.50 ($.75 printables x6)
-$.25 Giant doubled coupon
-$3.00 instant savings
=$4.25 for 6 or $.70 each!
Not bad, but you do have to have access to multiple computers to print that many coupons.

Coupon Preview 2/14

Click HERE to see this Sunday's coupon insert preview. Be forewarned that coupons vary by region, which is actually why I order my extra inserts online. I used to buy the Inquirer, but I had to start buying them online when they stopped carrying the Red Plum insert. I do have a subscription to the Lancaster New Era, but the coupons in there just plain don't compare.

Anyway, thanks Shannon for the preview!

Free 8x10 Collage Print @ Walgreens

Shannon just reported that tomorrow, February 12th, you can get a free 8x10 collage print. You don't have to pay shipping if you select "pick up in store." This would be great for a collage of your Christmas pictures, although I might do one for Silas' birthday depending on the different layouts... ideas, ideas...

Anyway, click HERE to get started and use the code VDAY at checkout. Remember, this is good tomorrow!

While you're in the store tomorrow picking up your free collage print, tomorrow is also Friends and Family Day at Walgreen's! Bring your coupon for 15% off your entire purchase or 20% off Walgreen's brand items.

Now, I am not a regular Walgreen's shopper. In fact, I've only been inside the Lancaster Walgreen's once since moving here in June and that was to pick up a free 8x10 print they were offering! I am going to attempt my first deal at Walgreen's tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it goes. In the mean time click HERE to see this week's deals.

Frugal Tip of the Day - Make Your Own Foaming Handsoap!

Your frugal tip of the day comes from our friends at The Frugal Girls.
Are you like me and LOVE the foaming liquid handsoap from Bath & Body Works? I used to buy lots of the stuff before I started couponing, but I just can't get myself to spend that much on handsoap now. I really do miss the foaming action though, it's fun and it really encourages kids to wash their hands. Well The Frugal Girls came up with a way to make your own refills for the foaming bottles! Genius!
Click HERE to read the directions.

That's almost $10 cheaper than the name brand and I've been giving it to Silas since he turned 3 months old. Anyway, I was in Target yesterday and in the new mega pack section they had double packs of the formula marked down to $16!!!! Makes each can about $8, it's worth checking out your Target!!

Shopping News Highlights - February 10th

I was impressed that the Shopping News was actually delivered with the "blizzard" and all. I actually had mine in my driveway yesterday in a bright red plastic bag so I didn't miss it. Kudos to the Shopping News staff! Anyway, here's what I saw in this week's issue:

This list is regularly updated so I would bookmark it and then check it before you head out to Walmart. I know I will! Click HERE for the list.

Weaver's Markets Update

Thanks so much to an anonymous reader who called Weaver's to see if they accept internet coupons.
